AFC Bournemouth to host Lincoln in Carabao Cup third round

According to Bournemouth Echo, AFC Bournemouth will host Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup third round at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday 8 September.

Kick-off is 7.45pm and the tie will be shown live on Sky Sports +.

Bournemouth were drawn at home against the Championship club as they begin their latest campaign in the competition.

The sides last met in 2010 in League Two, when Lincoln won 2-1, though the Cherries were promoted to League One that season under Eddie Howe.

They also faced off at the Millennium Stadium in 2003 in the League Two play-off final, which Bournemouth won 5-2 to reach the third tier.
