African attacking prospect set to leave Barcelona this summer – report | OneFootball

FC Barcelona are gearing up for an important summer ahead, in which the club are likely to sanction the exit of multiple unwanted stars in an attempt to bring in fresh revenue.

But apart from the first-team, there could be changes in the reserve side as well, with almost half the squad expected to leave for one reason or another.

One of the players tipped to depart is Abdul Aziz Issah, a 20-year-old winger, who has scored four goals for Barça Atletic this past season.

According to SPORT, Barcelona have decided neither to renew Aziz’s loan nor exercise the purchase option for the Ghanaian, who is owned by Dreams FC of Ghana.

The winger spent two seasons at Barça Atletic, with his first campaign limited in terms of playing time. The second one, under Juliano Belletti, was far more impactful.

Following the injuries of Sama Nomoko and Dani Rodriguez, he nailed down a regular starting spot and raised his level considerably, becoming one of the more dynamic attacking outlets on the side.

Despite that progress, the club’s decision appears final. Aziz has already attracted interest from several European clubs and is expected to continue his career in another European league this summer.

His exit is part of a broader revolution at the reserve side. The potential departures of Dani Rodriguez, Toni Fernandez, who is on Sevilla’s radar, and Aziz, combined with Nomoko’s injury, leave the wide positions at Barça Atletic in need of a significant rebuild.

Belletti is expected to remain as coach, tasked with overseeing what promises to be a transitional campaign.
