Fifth Egypt-Morocco clash in the African Super Cup

Pyramids and RS Berkane go head-to-head this Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 5pm GMT in the final of the 2025 African Super Cup. This marks the fifth time an Egyptian club faces a Moroccan rival in the competition's final.
The first Egypt-Morocco African Super Cup final took place in 2003 at the Cairo International Stadium. Back then, Zamalek overcame Wydad Casablanca (3-1) to lift the trophy for the third time in the club's history.
Three years later, Al Ahly SC claimed their second Super Cup crown against AS FAR (0-0, 4-2 on penalties), once again at the Cairo International Stadium.
In 2021, there were two Super Cup editions, both won by Al Ahly against Moroccan opponents. The Red Devils defeated RS Berkane (2-0) in May, then edged Raja Casablanca (1-1, 6-5 on penalties) in December. Both matches were held in Doha, Qatar.
The head-to-head record is flawless for Egypt, boasting four victories over Morocco in African Super Cup finals. Can RS Berkane restore Moroccan pride, or will Pyramids cement Egypt's dominance? We'll find out this Saturday at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.
