Girona have confirmed the departures of Viktor Tsygankov to Ajax and Minsu Kim to Rangers, moves that bring in significant funds and trim the wage bill, according to Superdeporte.

Ajax will pay less than five million euros for the Ukrainian winger. His exit comes after he made clear he did not want to stay in Segunda División with Girona, and he had shown a rebellious attitude in recent weeks. In Amsterdam he will be reunited with Míchel Sánchez, his former coach at the Catalan club.

Minsu Kim heads to Rangers after the Scottish side paid the 10 million euros release clause. The South Korean impressed in pre-season, but his sale also delivers a major cash injection for Girona.

Between the two deals, Girona stand to receive around 15 million euros. The club can now approach the final days of the window with more room to reinforce the squad.

Both players leave Montilivi after their transfers were finalised, easing competition for places as the club reshapes the group.
