Agent for André criticises Corinthians over transfer negotiations | OneFootball

Agent Diogo Silva has attacked Corinthians’ handling of offers for 20-year-old midfielder André during the current window.

According to Globo.com, Silva argued the club failed to set a clear price, mismanaged the window and now faces financial strain.

In March, Corinthians rejected a €17 million bid from Milan after a request from coach Dorival Júnior and a negative reaction among fans. More recently, proposals from Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos were deemed insufficient.

Silva called the Milan decision a misjudgement, saying more than 28 emails were exchanged and a contract had been drafted, with only president Osmar Stabile’s signature pending, before the club pulled out. He felt that once talks are opened, counterparts deserve respect.

He said responses to Forest and Olympiacos set asking prices far above the market, noting Forest’s €12 million and Olympiacos’ €10 million were met with counteroffers that suggested no intention to sell. He added that in 2026 bluffing has no place, and the market sets prices.

Silva expects André to remain until the end of the season. Windows in Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Greece are still open, but the player’s preference is one of Europe’s top five leagues. He praised André’s temperament and said decisions will be taken with care.

Club figures close to Stabile maintained they would not accept low bids without bonus potential and held firm on valuation despite a financial crisis. Executive Marcelo Paz said he sent a counteroffer to Forest via Silva, adding a direct, no-bonus proposal arrived at 20:28 Brasília time on Saturday, 22 August, with a reply at 21:54. The club still targets R$ 150 million in 2026 transfer income and has yet to sell a player.
