Agreement Reached: Bayern’s Next Transfer Is Imminent

Bryan Zaragoza is one of the players who will be allowed to leave FC Bayern this summer. The Spanish forward, who has not been even remotely happy at Bayern so far, now appears to have agreed to join his new club.

Most recently, the player was on loan, spending the second half of last season with Roma. That didn’t turn out to be a good decision either. During preseason, he actually wanted to prove himself to a new club, but he struggled for an extended period with knee irritation.

Now, however, a solution is finally in the works. In recent days, there has been interest from La Liga in the player, who has only really thrived in Spain so far.

Zaragoza set to sign with Espanyol

RCD Espanyol, a Barcelona-based team, had been the most active suitor. It was clear to Bayern Munich that it would be difficult to pull off a sale because some clubs in Spain currently don’t have much financial leeway.

Fabrizio Romano reports that a transfer is now imminent and that it will be a loan deal. However, Espanyol does at least have a purchase option. The final details of this deal are still being discussed,

Zaragoza himself is said to have agreed to a transfer to Espanyol. This means a major hurdle has already been cleared. He has repeatedly made it clear over the summer break that he would like to return to Spain.

Nothing is known yet about the amount of the purchase option, nor how much of a loan fee FC Bayern will receive. These details are still part of the final negotiations currently underway between the two teams. In any case, it’s positive for Bayern that a solution is now in sight. Zaragoza has recently been training individually following his knee problems, but is reportedly expected to be ready to play again shortly.
