According to L'Équipe, Lyon right-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles will sign for Everton this evening in a deal worth five million euros.
The 29-year-old has been authorised by Lyon to travel to England to finalise the move. The switch is expected to ease the club’s wage bill and finances.

The fee concerns the final year of his contract.
Lyon had already prepared for his exit by bringing in Zachary Akhetame on loan from AC Milan for the position.
Maitland-Niles joined Lyon on a free transfer from Arsenal three years ago.
