According to CalcioMercato, Ajax are amongst a number of teams keen to land Vejle Boldklub wonderkid Wahid Faghir.
The 17-year-old, who has been dubbed the ‘new Zlatan Ibrahimović’, has been impressing in the Danish top flight this season, scoring five goals in 22 games this season to take his professional tally to eight goals in 32 contests.
The player, who is also linked to Premier League side Wolves and some Serie A clubs, has been labelled as ‘physically strong’ and is dreaming of one day playing at Real Madrid.
In January, Leicester attempted to purchase Faghir for €1m but was turned down, with the Superligaen club holding out for €2.5m. That price is expected to go up significantly after yet another productive season.
Faghir, who has been at Vejle since he was six years old, is also being tussled over at the international level, with both Denmark and Afghanistan attempting to eventually cap-tie the player.
