Al Ahli confirm Marino Pusic as Matthias Jaissle's replacement | OneFootball

Al Ahli have confirmed Marino Pusic as their new manager on Thursday, replacing Matthias Jaissle.

According to spl.com.sa, the former Shakhtar Donetsk head coach has signed a contract with the Roshn Saudi League side until 2028.

This will be Pusic's second coaching post in the Gulf, after managing UAE side Al Jazira last season.

He led Shakhtar to the Ukrainian league title in 2024, having earlier helped FC Twente win promotion in 2019.

He was also part of Feyenoord's staff as assistant when they lifted the 2022-23 Eredivisie title.

Jaissle, who oversaw Al Ahli's back-to-back AFC Champions League Elite titles, has been appointed manager of English Premier League side Newcastle United.

Al Ahli begin the 2026-27 Roshn Saudi League campaign on 13 August away to top-flight debutants Diriyah Club.
