Al-Hilal's defence was ravaged by injuries during their Roshn League Clasico with long-time rivals Al-Ahli.

Al-Hilal hosted Al-Ahli on Tuesday at Kingdom Arena in a fixture postponed from the third round. Goal.com reports that the hosts' back line was steadily dismantled.

The problems began in the first half when Saudi defender Ali Lajami limped off, with Hassan Tambakti sent on.

Tambakti had only just returned from a long lay-off, and he was thrust into action because Turkish defender Yusuf Akcicek was already sidelined.

Early in the second half, French full-back Theo Hernandez could not continue, and Mutaib Al-Harbi replaced him.

Minutes later, Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly suffered a heavy head blow in a collision with Al-Ahli's French midfielder Valentin Atangana. Bleeding heavily, he required a bandage, and Simone Inzaghi kept him on.

By full-time, every Al-Hilal defender had been injured except right-back Mohammed Mahzari.
