According to Gremistas.net, Grêmio have received a formal approach in recent days from Saudi side Al-Khaleej for forward Francis Amuzu, with the visitors seeking an agreement with both club and player.

The report said Al-Khaleej aimed to complete the move within the current window, which in Saudi Arabia officially closed on Sunday 6.

Meanwhile, Amuzu is moving towards an exit at the end of this season after failing to agree a new deal. His contract runs until December and talks over an extension have stalled amid a sizeable gap in valuations.

Amuzu earns about R$ 1.1 million at Grêmio. His initial request to stay was around R$ 1.5 million, a rise the club does not intend to grant.

Any move now depends on alignment between all parties. As it stands, the forward is not expected to remain at Grêmio beyond December.
