Alan Lescano is eligible to play for Vasco after being registered in the CBF’s BID on Wednesday, and could make his debut against Grêmio on Saturday in the 27th round at Arena do Grêmio.

According to Globo.com, the 24-year-old midfielder was officially unveiled on Wednesday and signed a deal through December 2029. The move from Argentinos Juniors is valued at around US$ 7 million, about R$ 36 million.

Lescano becomes Vasco’s fifth addition of the window, following full-back Paulinho, midfielder Sosa and forwards Colidio and Bruno Duarte. The club have also moved towards an agreement for centre-back Gabriel Pereira and still harbour hopes of bringing in forward Richarlison.

Inside the club, Lescano is viewed as a potential starter with significant upside. He can operate as a playmaker high up the pitch, closer to the forwards, or as a deeper midfielder with attacking qualities, a profile seen as lacking in the current squad.

He began his professional career at Gimnasia in 2022, then joined Argentinos Juniors the following season, where he rose to prominence. He made 123 appearances there, scoring 27 goals and supplying nine assists.
