Vasco announced on Wednesday that Argentine midfielder Alan Lescano, 24, has signed a permanent contract until December 2029.

Brought in for the remainder of the 2026 season, he was requested by Portuguese head coach Pedro Emanuel to add creativity at São Januário. He will wear the number 22 shirt.

On arrival, Lescano expressed delight at joining a historic club with a passionate fanbase and hopes to be happy in the shirt.

Born in San Carlos de Bolívar, he came through Gimnasia La Plata’s academy, broke into the first team and stayed until mid-July 2023. He then featured across three consecutive seasons for Argentinos Juniors, becoming a regular presence in domestic action.
