Alessio Tacchinardi explains how Sarr can be useful in Juventus midfield | OneFootball

Pape Matar Sarr has shown glimpses of what he can offer Juventus in the few matches he has played for the Bianconeri, and Alessio Tacchinardi is excited to see more from the midfielder.

Juve made him their second loan signing from Tottenham in the last transfer window, and the Senegalese star is expected to bring a different quality to their midfield.

They already have several midfielders, and Douglas Luiz appears to be returning to his best form, but Juve still added Sarr to the group after he was not part of Roberto De Zerbi’s plans at Tottenham.

The Bianconeri have the option to make his move permanent at the end of the season, and his age means he still has time to develop further while learning what it takes to play for one of the world’s biggest clubs.

Tacchinardi highlights Sarr’s qualities

The Old Lady is also in a more stable position than Spurs, who could be relegated at the end of the season. Sarr has therefore joined a team where he can continue developing while competing for opportunities in midfield.

Tacchinardi believes the Senegalese midfielder can provide qualities that Juve have lacked in certain situations, particularly through his energy, physical strength and speed.

He said via Tuttojuve:

“Another thing about Juve’s midfield is that it’s very composed. I think Sarr, who’s very dynamic and has a lot of strength and speed, can be the one to provide some of the pressure alongside Douglas Luiz, where Douglas Luiz and Locatelli rarely did. He’s an interesting player and can bring a lot to this team in midfield,”

Sarr offers a different midfield option

Sarr’s arrival gives Juventus another option in midfield and could allow them to use his physical qualities in matches where additional energy and pressure are required.

His performances so far have offered some encouragement, although he still has plenty of time to establish himself at the club. Juventus will continue assessing his contribution throughout the season before deciding whether to make his transfer permanent.

For now, Tacchinardi’s comments highlight the qualities Sarr can bring to the Bianconeri. His ability to combine dynamism, strength and speed could give Juventus another dimension in midfield as he continues adapting to his new surroundings.
