Alexis Vega has been ruled out of Saturday’s Guard1anes 2020 opener against León after becoming the latest Chivas player to test positive for Covid-19.
ESPN has reported that club officials confirmed that the striker was asymptomatic for the virus, but has been placed in quarantine as per Liga MX protocols.
Vega joins team-mates Ronaldo Cisneros, Fernando Beltrán and Uriel Antuna, as well as manager Luis Fernando Tena, on the growing list of the Flock to test positive for coronavirus.
The 22-year-old will need to stay in quarantine for 15 days, thus also ruling him out of next Sunday’s game at Santos Laguna.
