Illan Kebbal no longer hides his admiration for the new generation of the Fennecs. Speaking to Foot Mercato, the Paris FC attacking midfielder—who for a long time remained on the fringes of the national team despite receiving his first call-up at 23—was especially complimentary of his young teammates, who have now become integral to Algeria's project.

Starting with Hadj Moussa, the Feyenoord prodigy, whom he discusses with genuine enthusiasm:

“There are top players. Personally, I love Hadj Moussa—he's exactly the kind of player I enjoy watching and playing alongside.”

“Maza too, he's a top player... He’s a 20-year-old who plays like he’s 30.”

Kebbal also emphasizes the importance of early decisions made by some dual nationals. On the subject of Maza, he points out:

“If he had chosen Germany, maybe he would have been called up to the Mannschaft… Dual nationals make a choice from the heart.”

For the Parisian, seeing Algeria secure such talent for “10, 15 good years” is almost a blessing.
