As well as being extremely unpredictable on the pitch, many off-pitch facets only add to the quirks and authenticity you note and feel when supporting a club in the second-tier of English football.

One of those is the experience for match-going supporters, which differs each and every week due to the cultures and values boasted by clubs and the towns and cities which they hail from.

As a result, depending on the occasion, the time of year and the facilities on offer, this leads to mixed reviews from each fan, which makes for interesting reading.

Here at Football League World, we have ranked each of the 24 Championship stadiums in the 2025/26 season from the worst to best-rated on TripAdvisor.

24 ? ? Oxford United - Kassam Stadium (3.1/5)

It may come as little surprise to many that Oxford United's Kassam Stadium is the worst-rated Championship stadium on the site with a score of 3.1/5.

At a capacity of 12,500, the Kassam is the smallest in the division, but is perhaps notoriously not the most enjoyable of grounds to visit due to one missing stand and a lack of pre-match entertainment, despite there being a retail complex adjacent.

The U's are also set to depart the stadium in the years to come, with plans for a new 16,000-seater stadium north of the city recently green-lighted.

Despite Coventry City being the leading side in the Championship thus far, they have the second-worst stadium as per TripAdvisor reviews.

The CBS Arena has received an average score of 3.6/5 from 569 reviews, with the main frustrations focusing on accessibility inside and surrounding the 32,609-capacity stadium.

In August, the Sky Blues acquired the stadium for the first time at a cost of nearly £40m, but have been on the end of major backlash, mainly from visiting supporters, due to rather expensive ticket prices.

Swansea City's aptly-named Swansea.Com Stadium also receives an average score of 3.6/5.

Out of all five rating categories, the majority of the 191 reviews left have fallen into the 'good' category, meaning that such a score hasn't left many with a negative perception of the South Wales side and the facilities on offer.

Taking a 0.1-rating leap is Charlton Athletic's Valley, which is hosting Championship football for the first time in five years.

However, out of 96 reviews left, 33 of those have fallen into the 'excellent' category, which will not concern those who are looking at the South London-based stadium as an opportunity for a 'ground-tick', although they may struggle to leave with three points due to the Addicks' strong home form.

20 ? ? Sheffield Wednesday - Hillsborough (3.8/5)

Sheffield Wednesday's home ground, Hillsborough, is the biggest in the division and one of the most historic, for both good and bad reasons.

As such, it has received a 3.8/5 average rating from 185 reviews, albeit safety concerns have remained over time, with many stating that it requires attention.

Such developments could easily be one of the top priorities when a new owner takes over, after the stadium was left somewhat neglected and, over time, empty, in protest against former custodian, Dejphon Chansiri.

One of four stadiums to receive a 3.9/5 rating is Loftus Road, the home of Queens Park Rangers.

The West London ground has been the subject of mixed reviews, with some left in awe regarding the character of the Hoops' home, although others have, unsurprisingly, questioned the extremely cramped nature of the concourses and lack of legroom in the stands.

18 ? ? Bristol City - Ashton Gate (3.9/5)

Next up is Ashton Gate, with Bristol City's home stadium the subject of a regeneration which cost just less than £50m in the mid-to-late-2010s.

Once again, the stadium has received differing verdicts from visitors, with some also offering theirs based on fixtures against the Bristol Bears rugby side.

Yet, despite the atmosphere generated by 'Section 82' in one corner, a prominent review from a visiting QPR supporter was titled 'football in a library'...

17 ? ? Birmingham City - St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park (3.9/5)

Birmingham City will not be playing at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park for much longer, as plans for an upcoming 62,000-capacity stadium at the 'Sports Quarter' complex accelerate.

As such, many supporters are hoping to visit before its too late, especially after a makeover of at least £15m through Knighthead.

Therefore, it may come as little surprise that the B9 ground has mixed reviews, with it previously only being half-accessible due to mandatory repair work.

16 ? ? Stoke City - Bet365 Stadium (3.9/5)

Stoke City's Bet365 Stadium is the last to receive a rating of 3.9/5.

From 269 reviews, the stadium has received 110 in the 'excellent' category, with the Potters' home previously known for being a fortress during the club's Premier League days.

However, visiting supporters may not have the same desire to pay a visit these days, with the stadium surrounded by car showrooms and distribution centres.

The first stadium with a ranking of at least 4/5 is Wrexham's Stok Cae Ras.

The Red Dragons' first season at Championship level for 43 years, alongside their 'Hollywood' story, has made the historic stadium a must-visit in the eyes of many, although those who have already been may beg to differ with the aforementioned rating.

Rather intriguingly, though, one of 25 reviews left is a sole description of an encounter one supporter had with James McClean as the Wrexham captain departed the stadium post-match.
