AC Milan coach Max Allegri has been fined €10,000 for his touchline row with Napoli director Lele Oriali during the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final, but there is no ban.

Napoli had released a statement decrying the incident and calling for video evidence to be used to punish the tactician for his behaviour.

The Disciplinary Commission has examined the report provided by the fourth official and decided to impose a €10,000 fine.

Their statement notes that this is for Allegri’s “provocatory attitude towards the director of an opposition team, repeatedly using offensive phrases.”

They therefore did not check the video evidence from Sport Mediaset and only relied on the report from the FIGC representatives on the touchline.

The row took place on the touchline during Thursday evening’s EA Sports FC Supercup semi-final, which saw Napoli beat AC Milan 2-0.

Napoli will now play against Bologna in the Supercoppa Final in Riyadh on Monday at 19.00 GMT.
