Allianz Arena to host 2028 Champions League final

UEFA confirmed on Tuesday that the 2028 Champions League final will be staged at Munich's Allianz Arena, the sole bidder.

It means the showpiece returns to Bayern Munich's ground only three years after the 2025 final there.

Barcelona's renovated Camp Nou has been selected ahead of Wembley Stadium in London to stage the 2029 final.

The long-delayed renovation will increase capacity to 105,000.

When Barcelona last staged the final, in 1999, Bayern lost 2-1 to Manchester United as the English side struck twice in stoppage time.

The 2026/27 final will be played in Madrid at Atlético Madrid's Metropolitano Stadium.
