Alverca announce signing of Rayan Lucas from Flamengo | OneFootball

Alverca have announced the signing of Flamengo midfielder Rayan Lucas on Saturday 8 August.

The Portuguese side posted images of the 21-year-old wearing the 2026/27 shirt and shared video of his arrival on social media.

He returned to Flamengo at the start of the year after a loan at Sporting in Portugal. With head coach Leonardo Jardim not planning to use him, the club began to seek options.

A move to Athletic Club in Brazil’s second tier was initially lined up. Flamengo had approved the transfer, but the player’s representatives rejected the terms.

Alverca then pushed for a permanent deal, and Flamengo completed the move. The Rio club retained 50% of any future sale.

A Flamengo academy graduate, he won under-20 honours including the Libertadores. In the first team he featured in the Carioca and joined the mid-season camp in Portugal, but did not earn a sustained run.

Flamengo now turn to the Brasileirão, hosting Vitória at 19:30 Brasília time on Sunday 9 August at the Maracanã.
