Club América have begun to stir in the transfer market after a quiet December. According to Americayya.net, América and Toluca are negotiating a player swap for the next tournament, while Rodrigo Dourado is close to joining as a separate deal.
The proposed exchange would see Ralph Orquín move to Toluca and Brian García arrive at América. Both would be one-year loans with options to buy.
García is a right-back owned by Toluca, and spent his last campaign with Pachuca. He was part of Toluca’s Clausura 2025 title winners, starting most of that tournament.
The fit is noteworthy because his main position is on the right, though he has covered the left. He would compete with Kevin Álvarez if he arrives. It also suggests Cristian Calderón could return, as he is on loan at Necaxa.
If concluded, it would be América’s second incoming of this window. Talks concern the upcoming tournament and remain ongoing.
