RTI Esporte reports that physical coach Cristiano Nunes and performance analyst Thomaz Araújo will watch the first leg.

Among those being observed are Evertton Araújo, Fabrício Bruno, Gerson, Matheus Pereira, Kaio Jorge, Léo Pereira, Lucas Paquetá, Otávio Costa, Pedro and Samuel Lino. Ancelotti has said he intends to refresh selections after the World Cup.

At the 2026 World Cup, Ancelotti called four Flamengo players. Léo Pereira, Lucas Paquetá and Danilo featured while Alex Sandro did not, and Brazil went out in the last 16 to Norway. Cruzeiro had no representatives, and it had been expected that Kaiki Bruno would be called before his sale to Como.
