On eve of Libertadores deadline, Cruzeiro add two forwards and pile pressure on Flamengo | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Cruzeiro have signed forwards João Costa and Lucho Rodriguez on loan, and both can be registered for the Copa Libertadores last 16 against Flamengo.

Costa, 21, joins from Al-Ettifaq, while Rodríguez, 23, arrives from Neom SC. The club had already added Wesley from Al-Nassr on Wednesday.

The trio bolster Arthur Jorge’s attack after injuries to Gabriel Pec, who fractured his shin, and Sinisterra, who suffered a severe thigh muscle problem.

Flamengo, by contrast, have yet to announce a new signing. The club focused on Thiago Almada, who chose River Plate.

Talks have since opened for Luiz Henrique of Zenit. Registration for the last 16 closes on Friday.

Before meeting Cruzeiro, Flamengo host Vitória in Brasileirão round 22 on Sunday at 19:30 Brasília time, live on SporTV and Premiere.
