Manager Rob Edwards described Andre as highly professional and an emerging leader, praising his excellent technique and high potential shown in the Premier League. He said it is exciting to have him in the Championship while stressing the division is demanding.

Chairman Nathan Shi said the club are delighted and that talks with Andre’s representatives were constant, with his desire to stay never wavering. He said the player believes in the club’s project and that a four-year commitment is a statement of long-term ambition, signalling to other players as they build a squad to return to the Premier League.

Juventus had previously been linked with the midfielder, but all indications are that he will stay to spearhead Wolves’ promotion push.
