Andrei Girotto in advanced talks with Saudi side Al Faisaly | OneFootball

Centre-back Andrei Girotto is in advanced talks to join Al Faisaly in Saudi Arabia.

According to Globo.com, the 34-year-old, previously with Palmeiras and Chapecoense, moved towards the Al Faisaly offer after receiving approaches from three Brazilian Série A clubs. The clubs were not named, though Corinthians recently made an enquiry.

Girotto is out of contract after three seasons at Al-Taawoun. He played 24 games last season, scoring two, with his most recent appearance on 21 May at the league’s close.

The Rio Grande do Sul native recently spent holidays at home with his family.

Abroad since 2017, he has also represented Nantes in France and Kyoto Sanga in Japan. In Brazil he emerged at Metropolitano in Santa Catarina, then América-MG, before winning the Copa do Brasil with Palmeiras in 2015 and later featuring for Chapecoense in 2017.
