Marcos André loaned to Al Najma, Valencia could recoup funds | OneFootball

Marcos André has joined Saudi side Al Najma on loan from Real Valladolid until the end of the season. Valencia could benefit financially if the move becomes permanent.

According to Superdeporte, the agreement includes an option to buy and was finalised on deadline day.

Valencia paid eight and a half million euros for the Brazilian striker after a request from Bordalás. Then-president Anil Murthy led the talks, and the fee far outstripped an estimated value of three and a half million, with the forward arriving off the back of only four goals for Real Valladolid.

Across two seasons at Mestalla he managed two LaLiga goals and two in the Copa del Rey. He then returned to Valladolid for one point eight million euros, with Valencia keeping 50% of any subsequent transfer.

The switch to Saudi Arabia follows a spell that did little to raise his profile. If Al Najma trigger the option, Valencia would receive a slice of the fee via their retained rights.
