Robin Andrich rued a late equaliser as Bayer Leverkusen were held by Arsenal in the first leg at the BayArena.

As reported by BuLi News, the captain said he left with mixed feelings, believing Leverkusen played well but should have won. He added that Arsenal will be under less pressure in the return, and that his side still believe they can spring a surprise.

Andrich had put the hosts ahead and his strike seemed set to decide the night until former Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz converted a late penalty to secure a draw.

Havertz said the wait between the whistle and the kick felt endless, but staying mentally sharp was crucial. Familiar with the stadium and the spot, he felt comfortable, and looked ahead to another big task next week.

For now, Kasper Hjulmand's side switch focus to domestic matters. They face Bayern Munich on Saturday before travelling to London on Tuesday for the second leg.
