ANRESF bars Vasco from negotiations with Palmeiras and Crefisa amid conflict probe | OneFootball

ANRESF has opened an investigation into the proposed sale of Vasco da Gama’s SAF and imposed a precautionary order restricting dealings with Palmeiras and Crefisa. Flamengo has issued a statement backing the move.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the formal procedure will assess a potential conflict of interests involving a group led by businessman Marcos Lamacchia, who is negotiating a 90% stake. Lamacchia is the stepson of Palmeiras president Leila Pereira, raising concern over possible cross influence within the same competition.

The precautionary order bars Vasco and Palmeiras from trading players, conducting financial operations, sharing facilities, or exchanging staff and sensitive information. Vasco is also prohibited from taking new loans or expanding financial dealings with companies linked to Crefisa. Existing agreements are not automatically voided.

The review period is up to 30 days, with a final decision to follow once the procedure concludes. The published decision states there will be no right of appeal.

Contractual and financial details will remain confidential during the process. Separately, Flamengo executive Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, has publicly questioned the probity of talks involving the Crefisa owner's son.
