Anthony Valencia and Joaquín Freitas will miss Flamengo’s meeting with Mirassol, their registrations not processed in the CBF’s BID in time. The rescheduled fourth-round Brasileirão fixture is at the Maracanã on Wednesday two at 19:30 Brasília time.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the pair were only announced on Tuesday one, and CBF rules allow up to 48 hours for a player’s name to appear in the BID, leaving them unavailable for this match.
Valencia, a 23-year-old right winger, cost €five million, about R$30 million. Freitas, a 19-year-old forward, was signed for €seven million, equating to R$42 million for 80 percent of his economic rights.
Nico De La Cruz, Alex Sandro and Vitão are also out, in their cases due to physical recovery. Gonzalo Plata failed a medical with Dynamo Moscow and will return to the squad, but not in time for the match.
With the BID process under way, the duo are expected to be regularised shortly. The likelihood is they will be available against Remo on Sunday six, in the Brasileirão’s 26th round.
