Anthony Valencia registered with CBF as he awaits Flamengo debut | OneFootball

Anthony Valencia has been registered with the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário, making him available to Flamengo head coach Leonardo Jardim. According to Coluna Do Fla, the winger’s name appeared on Wednesday after medicals and final paperwork were concluded.

The Ecuadorian arrived in Brazil on Sunday, with the official announcement following on Tuesday after he signed his contract.

He will wear the number 14 shirt and is now training with the squad as he builds towards a debut. His last outing was on 22 August, a 4-4 draw with Genk, when he played 45 minutes, scored and struck the woodwork.

Born on 21 July 2003 in Guayaquil, Valencia came through Independiente del Valle before joining Royal Antwerp in 2022. He recorded 13 goals and four assists for the Belgian side and was part of Ecuador’s squad at the 2026 World Cup.

Valencia has signed a five-year deal to 2031. Flamengo paid a fee of five million euros, about R$ 30.08 million for full rights, with Royal Antwerp retaining 15% of any future profit. His arrival also offsets the sale of Gonzalo Plata to Dinamo Moscow.
