Aperribay y Bretos stay behind as Real start in Seville | OneFootball

Real Sociedad begin their La Liga campaign at La Cartuja on Friday without their president or director of football on the trip.

According to Diario Vasco, Jokin Aperribay and Erik Bretos have stayed behind to work on two or three arrivals before one September.

In Zubieta, head coach Matarazzo said the club had identified three profiles they need, and the pair are continuing negotiations to add reinforcements.

Bretos has typically travelled to almost all away matches since taking the role, yet he has not made a signing so far. He attended the Chelsea friendly in England during pre-season, and Aperribay was also in London.

In their absence, Xabi Prieto, the club’s institutional representative, and José Ramón Fernández de Barrena, a director, will represent Real at La Cartuja for the league opener.
