Arnau Martínez eyeing Mestalla return after 2022 debut as Valencia pursue Girona captain | OneFootball

Valencia have made Arnau Martínez their priority for 26/27, seeking a decisive fix at right-back. According to Superdeporte, the Girona captain, 23, can also cover centre-back, is favoured by Corberán and wants to play his home games at Mestalla.

His LaLiga bow came at Mestalla on 14 August 2022, when newly promoted Girona visited Valencia. The hosts won 1-0 with a Carlos Soler penalty, and Martínez was introduced for the final eight minutes.

He described it as a day he would never forget, pleased with his top-flight debut yet left with the sour taste of missing out on points at Mestalla.
