Signed to replace Florian Tardieu after his move to Montpellier, Hungarian midfielder Aron Csongvai has quickly caught the eye at Saint-Étienne. On and off the pitch, he is already pushing to make himself indispensable.
It has taken him only two matches to win over much of the home crowd. According to Le Progres, the Budapest-born player backed up a promising pre-season by impressing as the league campaign began.
Arriving with match sharpness from the Swedish league with AIK, the defensive midfielder has addressed last season’s glaring gap at the heart of the side.
He describes his job as providing balance through his communication and his running. He also says the early impressions are very good.
Determined to become a leader in the dressing room as well as on the pitch, Csongvai wants to cement his place with Les Verts.
