Arsenal have been dealt what appears to be a big injury blow during their FA Cup game against Mansfield Town.

The Emirates Stadium club are away in the FA Cup fifth round game and Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has another injury concern after Leandro Trossard picked up a knock in the first-half.

The Belgian was unable to continue after going down and was replaced by Piero Hincapie.

It is too early to determine the severity of the knock but injury to another key player is the last thing Arsenal need right now.

William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Jurrien Timber and Ben White were all absent from yesterday’s training session, and the Gunners need their key players fit during the crucial title run-in.

Arsenal are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Germany to take on Bayer Leverkusen in the first-leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League.

It remains to be seen whether Trossard would be available, but he might have been taken off today just as a precaution.

Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Odegaard also did not train yesterday and were not named in the matchday squad today.

It is believed Arteta decided to rest them ahead of the gruelling run of games Arsenal have ahead of them.

They are currently playing in four competitions and will need to maintain their overall squad fitness and keep themselves fresh.

Arsenal are expected to progress into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and could end up winning all three domestic trophies at the end of the season.

They play Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup on March 22 and are seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table with eight games left.
