Arsenal have added Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo to their shortlist as the Gunners look to add to their frontline before the transfer deadline.

The North Londoners want to bring in another attacking option before the closure of the transfer window, following a failed move for Vinicius Junior earlier in the summer. Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Julian Alvarez at Atletico Madrid, though the Argentine is prioritising Barcelona.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Arsenal also have Fernandez-Pardo as an option. The 21-year-old scored eight goals and added five assists in Ligue 1 last season as Lille secured Champions League qualification.

The versatile forward ranked second in Ligue 1 for progressive carries, successful dribbles, and touches, and third for accurate crosses.

Lille are demanding around €70m (£59.8m) for the five-cap Belgium international and have already rejected offers of around €40m from Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig. The French side are under no pressure to sell with midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi close to a €100m move to Manchester City.
