Arsenal has no intention of selling key man this summer

Arsenal have faced several enquiries about Martin Zubimendi this summer after just one season at the club, following the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes at the Emirates.

The Gunners were helped by Zubimendi on their way to winning the Premier League title this summer, as he was ever present in their team in league matches and other competitions. Zubimendi has been one of the top players in England since arriving and has rarely put a foot wrong.

However, his lack of minutes at the World Cup suggests he may not be as highly regarded as some believe. Arsenal also went on to sign Guimaraes from Newcastle United, one of the best midfielders in England and a player who performed well for Brazil at the World Cup.

Zubimendi Faces Increased Competition

Although Zubimendi returned late from the competition, he is now set for a serious battle for playing time. This is why Real Madrid and Chelsea have considered making an approach for him this summer.

Both clubs believe the midfielder would perform well for their teams and would love to sign him. However, The Sun reports that Zubimendi is going nowhere this summer because Arsenal have decided that he will not be sold.

The Gunners believe the midfielder remains an important part of their plans despite the new arrivals. His previous contribution to the team has also made him a valuable member of the squad, even with increased competition for places.

Arsenal Commit to Midfielder

Arsenal’s decision means Zubimendi is expected to remain at the club beyond this summer, despite interest from major clubs. The arrival of Guimaraes has created greater competition in midfield, but the Gunners still see a role for Zubimendi within their plans.

For Real Madrid and Chelsea, the decision could end their hopes of signing the midfielder during this window. Arsenal appear determined to retain him, regardless of the enquiries they have received.

Zubimendi now faces the challenge of competing for regular minutes after the arrival of another established midfielder. However, Arsenal’s stance makes clear that they continue to view him as an important player and have no intention of allowing him to leave this summer.
