Arsenal could emerge as a destination for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, with discussions between the clubs said to have taken place.
The Telegraph reports officials from both clubs have recently discussed a possible move, although it is unclear who made first contact. Those talks were linked to Galatasaray’s interest in Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, and an offer of around €45 million for Martinelli was reportedly lodged.
Martinelli is said to be open to a new challenge after seven years in London, and Arsenal are reportedly open to a sale with his deal up next year. Nwaneri’s outlook is similar after an unsuccessful loan at Olympique Marseille, with Everton, Fulham and Milan among suitors.
Whether a swap, with Martinelli and Nwaneri to Istanbul and Osimhen to London, is feasible is not stated. Following alleged Al-Hilal interest, Sacha Tavolieri first reported a €65 million starting price, then wrote Galatasaray had rejected Al-Hilal and did not want to sell this summer.
Osimhen left Napoli after a fallout, joined Türkiye on loan in 2024, then signed permanently for €75 million to 2029. He scored 15 league goals last season and added seven goals and three assists in 10 Champions League games.
Premier League links persist, with Arsenal often named alongside Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham. Arsenal want to add a high-profile attacker by early September if possible, but Julian Alvarez looks unlikely as he would prefer Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will not let him go. With Vinicius Junior tied down at Real Madrid, Osimhen could appeal as Plan B.
