Arthur and Juventus are negotiating the terms of a contract termination, expected to be formalised in the coming days. After leaving Grêmio, the midfielder drew interest from Corinthians and Fluminense.
Arthur's Juventus deal runs until June 2027, and ending it would make him a free agent able to sign immediately. Fabrizio Romano first reported the talks.
In July, Corinthians football executive Marcelo Paz said the club wanted the midfielder but, because of transfer bans, asked him to wait for outcomes. His initial salary request was considered high last month, and it was thought that a positive relationship with coach Fernando Diniz could help talks.
Arthur returned to Juventus in July after failing to agree a renewal with Grêmio. The club offered R$ one and a half million, while he sought R$ two and a half million, as he would waive sums due until the end of his Juventus contract to leave for free and remain at Grêmio.
A return to Grêmio now appears unlikely. Corinthians, Cruzeiro and Fluminense made enquiries when he departed the Porto Alegre side.
Juventus signed Arthur from Barcelona in June 2020. In Brazil he won the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores with Grêmio before moving to Barcelona in 2018.
