AS Monaco’s attempts to replace Adi Hutter on the touchline are continuing. After negotiations with former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic didn’t lead to an agreement, there are now talks with Union Saint-Gilloise manager Sébastien Pocognoli, L’Équipe understands.
Hutter directed first-team training in La Turbie on Wednesday, but it seems that his days at the Principality club are numbered. It comes after an underwhelming start to the season, especially with regard to performances.
As per L’Équipe, a meeting between Pocognoli and Monaco took place on Wednesday. Currently under contract with USG, the Belgian club would be due compensation if the Principality club were to make concrete steps to hire the Francophone manager. However, his low salary at the club means that this sum would not be considerable.
L’Équipe specify that it is currently unclear as to whether Pocognoli is the frontrunner for the job at Monaco.
