AS Monaco training base graffitied as fans call for Thiago Scuro to quit

AS Monaco’s training centre was graffitied as angry supporters gathered around 10.30am on Saturday to demand director general Thiago Scuro resign. According to L'Équipe, messages reading "Scuro Out" were painted on the exterior walls and the gendarmerie attended.

The protest comes amid a difficult campaign. Monaco have endured a run of poor results and were knocked out of the Coupe de France by Strasbourg, 1-3.

The Principality side have slipped to 10th in Ligue 1. Despite qualification for the Champions League play-offs, many fans deem the returns inadequate.

The January window has not appeared to ease tensions. Wout Faes arrived but injured his ankle in his second appearance for the club, while Simon Adingra also joined.

A press conference is scheduled for early afternoon, ahead of Sunday’s league derby against OGC Nice at 3pm.
