Aston Villa are ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign West Ham United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka, per the Daily Mail.
Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes have already left the London Stadium following the Hammers’ relegation to the Championship.
West Ham are expected to lose more players, with Wan-Bissaka among those pushing for a summer exit.
Arsenal have been linked with an interest in the 28-year-old. Jurrien Timber is still weeks away from making a full recovery from his injury, prompting the Gunners to seek a quality full back.
However, Villa are currently in position to land the former Manchester United star’s services.
The Midlands club are set to compete on multiple fronts next season, and manager Unai Emery is keen to strengthen their backline.
Villa are working on a deal to sign Atletico Madrid left-back Matteo Ruggeri.
To strengthen their right-back options, the Lions are targeting a move for Wan-Bissaka.
The experienced defender has been a key first-team player for West Ham since joining them in 2024.
He has made 65 appearances across all competitions for the Irons, with 10 goal contributions to his name.
Wan-Bissaka has five years left on his contract at the London Stadium, but he wants to leave to continue playing in the Premier League.
Villa could be an attractive destination for the player, but it remains to be seen whether they manage to agree a deal with West Ham.
