Aston Villa injury news: Emery confirms several key players will miss Sunderland clash | OneFootball

Unai Emery has confirmed that he will be without several of his Aston Villa stars for the game against Sunderland.

Youri Tielemans, Amadou Onana, Andrés García and Ross Barkley all remain sidelined for the Premier League clash.

It leaves Emery light on options in central midfield, but his side was boosted by the return of Boubacar Kamara in the Carabao Cup clash against Brentford, and he is in line to start against Sunderland.

“We are so happy when some players are coming back after they were injured,” Emery said.

“But, as well, we have players who are performing well

“Lamare Bogarde is really progressing and he’s played a fantastic two matches.

“With Kamara, we are adding one possibility to play as well with his experience and qualities.

“But, of course, when some players are performing like Lamare Bogarde, I’m feeling comfortable and confident.

“For Sunday, he’s coming back after he played 20 mins at Brentford on Tuesday.

“It’s good news for the team to have Kamara available with us.”

Victor Lindelof could also be available having returned to training.
