Aston Villa are interested in Olympique de Marseille centre-forward Robinio Vaz (18), according to a report from L’Équipe.
Vaz has been used as a super-sub so far this season, scoring four goals in 19 games. But OM are willing to listen to offers for Vaz in January. Les Phocéens’ openness to a deal comes amid uncertainty surrounding contract extension talks. His current deal runs until the summer of 2028.
Talks over a renewal have been stopped due to a significant gap between the player’s wage demands and what OM are willing to offer. As a result, a departure is possible this month. Marseille have not officially put the player on the transfer list, however, the club have said that a deal could be possible for a fee between €25-30m.
Aston Villa are one of the clubs interested, as are Eintracht Frankfurt, L’Équipe understands. Other unnamed clubs in England and Germany are also in the race. No concrete approach has yet been made.
