Atlético Madrid have tabled a €35m offer, including add-ons, for Lille winger Matias Fernández-Pardo, a move that tests the French club’s stance.

According to La Colina De Nervion, the bid shifts Atlético from long-term admirers to placing a concrete figure after tracking him in summer 2025 and again in the last winter window.

Less than two weeks ago, Lille president Olivier Létang publicly closed the door on an exit, citing a contract to 2029 and stressing the club count on him. Fernández-Pardo returned from Gent in August 2024 on a five-year deal, so there is no expiry pressure.

The player’s view differs. He wants to leave this summer, a stance communicated before rejoining after the World Cup, while Létang reiterated to him and his new representative that Lille plan for him in 2026/27.

Form also strengthens Lille’s hand. The 21-year-old made 40 appearances in 2025/26, starting 32, and finished with eight goals and six assists. In Ligue 1 he played 29 games, started 27, and produced eight goals and five assists in 2,379 minutes, earning a Belgium call-up and a place at the 2026 World Cup.

For the deal to progress, Atlético need €35m to move a position Lille have defended in public only days ago. If not, their interest meets a club under no pressure to sell with three years left on the contract.
