Pierre Emerick Aubameyang's set for sensational return to Olympique de Marseille, just 1 year after his departure from the French giants.
The Gabonese international who recently terminated his contract with Saudi side Al Qadsiah, is now in advanced negotiations with Marseille over 2 year deal running until Jun 2027 according to Foot Mercato.
Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi's personally requested the return of the prolific striker who previously scored 21 goal and delivered 3 assist in 36 matches for the club across all competitions.
Reports confirm both sides are keen to finalize the deal which's gained strong momentum in recent days.
While Aubameyang still has to officially resolve the final details of his departure from the Saudi Pro League, Marseille have already initiated contact and the veteran forward's reportedly eager to return to the Stade Vélodrome.
Despite interest from MLS clubs & other Saudi teams Aubameyang's attracted attention from across Europe including ligue 1, the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga sides.
During recent stay in Saint Etienne where he attended training camp for his nephew Aubameyang was directly approached by Marseille officials.
His emotional farewell last year , where he thanked the fans, board and city , left the door open for future reunion.
