Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña have suffered another major setback, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to undergo surgery after a meniscus injury, following confirmation that Marc Casadó is sidelined with a broken clavicle.

The club said in a statement that the Gabon striker damaged his meniscus during the match against Real Betis and will have an operation in the coming days. While the process is being assessed, he has begun personalised training at the Dépor Training Center.

Casadó has already had surgery on the clavicle fracture sustained in the same game, which is set to keep him out for about three months.

Head coach Antonio Hidalgo now loses two key pieces at once, a significant hit to his plans. The technical staff must rethink the forward line in Aubameyang’s absence.
