Auxerre in talks to loan Bournemouth’s Romain Faivre | OneFootball

Romain Faivre’s (27) loan spell from Bournemouth to Saudi Pro League side Al-Taawoun is not going to plan. The Frenchman has played just five games for the club and has not featured since 23rd October. 

His loan spell in the Gulf State could, therefore, come to a premature end. L’Équipe now reveals that AJ Auxerre are looking to sign the former FC Lorient and Stade Brestois forward. In the market for a forward in order to edge away from relegation trouble, Auxerre have also considered a move to bring Gaetan Perrin, who joined Russian side Krasnodar in the summer, back to the club. 

However, Faivre has emerged as the key target for L’AJA. Negotiations between Bournemouth and Auxerre are now ongoing, L’Equipe understands. Those talks are around the percentage of Faivre’s salary that the Ligue 1 side would pay. The relationship between the two clubs is strong following Hamed Junior Traoré’s loan spell at the club last season.
