Auxerre will be without their usual captain Elisha Owusu, hamstring, when Lille visit on Sunday at 17:15 in Ligue 1’s matchday 16, while they hope to recover Lasso Coulibaly, Ibrahim Osman, Francisco Sierralta and Marvin Senaya. Sinaly Diomandé has emerged as a fresh doubt.
According to L'Équipe, head coach Christophe Pelissier told Friday’s press conference that Owusu remains out and that there are many uncertainties in his squad. Auxerre are currently in the play-off place.
A decision on the availability of the four possible returnees will be taken on Saturday, as will a call on centre-back Diomandé.
Coulibaly, a forward, has an ankle problem and has missed the last four matches. Sierralta, a centre-back, has been out for the past three with adductors, although he was on the bench at Paris FC, 1-1, on 29 November.
Osman was ruled out for the 3-1 against Metz last Sunday, while full-back Senaya, hamstring, has missed three matchdays. Diomandé, an Ivory Coast international who has been central to Auxerre’s recent upturn, is uncertain.
