Southampton beat Stoke City 2-0 to rise from 15th to 12th in the Championship, with Finn Azaz and Flynn Downes on target.
In the 10th minute, Finn Azaz tapped in from close range after Tom Fellows' cut-back to give the visitors the lead.
After the restart, Flynn Downes converted from inside the six-yard box (52.) following a corner recycled by Ross Stewart.
Peretz Daniel kept Saints in control, tipping away Bae Jun-Ho's drive early on and later gathering Tatsuki Seko's effort.
The hosts made a triple change at the break and pushed from Sorba Thomas' deliveries, with Ashley Phillips heading wide (72.) and then nodding over from close range (87.). Fellows also drew a low save before being replaced on 90 minutes.
Stoke City had 52.6% possession and 10 attempts. Saints registered 11 attempts, with four on target.
Next, Stoke City visit West Bromwich Albion in the Championship. Saints host Watford.
