Bailey and Pierre selected for England Women’s Under-17 duty | OneFootball

Women’s Under-21s players Zara Bailey and Jhanaie Pierre have been named in the England Under-17 for their upcoming fixtures in the MIMA Cup.

Zara and Jhanaie were named in Natalie Henderson’s 24-player squad for their triple-header in Spain against Canada, Czech Republic and Mexico.

The Young Lionesses will face Canada on Tuesday 11 February (6pm UK) before taking on Czech Republic two days later (6pm UK). They will round off their fixture schedule with a clash against Mexico on Saturday 15 February (6pm UK) – with all games taking place at Pinatar Arena, Spain.

Defender Zara made her senior debut for the Club in December, coming on as a late substitute in our 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Women’s League, while Jhanaie was named in a WSL matchday squad earlier in the season – in our trip to Chelsea in October.

The Academy duo have also featured regularly for our Under-21s in their Professional Game Academy League campaign.
